Acharya Shri Sudarshanji
Maharaj is a qualified educationist and holds a Masters Degree in
Arts, Ph.D., Sahitya Ranta, Sahitya Vishara Vidyavachaspati and many
more. There are numerous occassion when his holiness has been
conferred with awards and accolades at the National and

He is the guide to your journey from Aham to Om. Just being beside
him heals. His aura emits a magical potion that is a balm for minds
and bodies fraught with worldly excesses and muddles. Holding you by
your finger he takes you deep inside yourself, illuminating the
darkest recesses of your being. Gently he corrects you, leading to a
powerful re-awakening within. 2nd June 1937, in the remote hamlet of
Mubarakpur in Sitamarhi district of North Bihar was born a holy
spirit in human flesh. It is far from astonishing to know that the
little one who had no interest in studies in his formative years
bloomed like a lotus to become a profound scholar.
His sophisticated presence is the result of ornate studies. Equipped
with an M.A. degree in Hindi and having obtained a PhD, Acharya Shri
set himself to become a luminary for countless souls thirsting for
guidance as also for explorers for the ultimate truth.
Acharya Shri preaches patience and perseverance with the aim to
orient the ever-rushing modern men and women towards self
realisation, the urgent need to maintain a healthy body, healthy
mind and propagate the same thought through a healthy family. His
method is meditation but not mind-numbing confinement. It acts like
a stabilizer for the delicate relationship between the mind, body
and the subconscious. Deeper the meditation, deeper is the healing
of mind, body and soul. Acharya Shri beholds that for a disturbed
and disoriented mind, only meditation can work as a permanent cure.
According to him “meditation” should be imbibed in our daily lives
as a routine activity instead of being resorted to only when
worldly-matters start depleting you to the core. He makes his
disciples willingly take up meditation that enlightens them while
they grow beyond “aham sarvam asmi” to “Aum sarvam asti”. Even
though Acharya Shri had an affinity towards spiritual evolution in
early childhood, his light spread across the world when he
established his own welfare Kendra, popularly known as ATAM KALYAN
KENDRA, which is located at Badsahpur in Gurgaon, Haryana.
Apart from his profound contributions in spirituality, Achrya Shri’s
contributions in field of modern education have also been immense.
Having fostered values like selflessness and service to others,
Acharya Shri keeps at bay any superstition or old-belief that would
prove to be a hindrance in any society’s growth. He has lent his
wisdom and knowledge by authoring various books on subjects like
yoga, methods of life, child psychology, depleting stature of the
elderly and mounting materialistic approach in modern society. Even
though limiting the greatness of a person like Acharya Shri, is
nearly impossible it can be said that he is a store house of
knowledge that has come to him through many years of introspection.
It is his belief that everyone must build a strong humane base in
order to practice spirituality with a clear conscience. With a
vision to create a better tomorrow, Acharya Shri opinionates that
education should not be limited only to class-rooms. He considers
the world to be the best classroom and experience as the best
teacher. For the welfare of people Acharya Shri proposes parallel
thought of “Self Welfare” which is practiced at his “spiritual
shrine”, The Atma Kalyan Kendra. The Ashram is open for all and
makes no difference in one life form from another, and aims to
spread the message of humanity. |
